  • Agacalti (Daniel Pantonassa) Church is cruciform in plan. The central part is covered by dome with high drum and cross arms are covered by tunnel vaults. The frescoes of the pre-iconoclast period date to 9-11th centuries. Main apse that opened to central part and the southern one were destroyed. Northwest comer room is barrel vaulted; the room links to north and west cross arms by round arched openings.

Northwest comer room is barrel vaulted; the room links to north and west cross arms by round arched openings. Today, destroyed main apse is used to enter the building. The original entrances are at the northern wall of the south and northwest corner room in the west arm.

    The following scenes can be seen on the walls: The Annunciation on the north half of southern cross arm vault, the Visitation and the Nativity on the pediment; coming of three Magi in the west half; the Flee of the Holy Family Into Egypt in the east half of north cross arm, the baptize on the pediment, Komiesis (the death of Mary) on the west half; plant and geometrical embellishing and Slmurg figure on the west cross arm vault, Daniel Among the Lions in the pediment; the Ascension of Jesus on the dome, prophets and apostles on the rim.
