The Binnenhof (Inner court) is the centre of Dutch politics. The Prime Minister’s Office is located in the famous “Torentje” (Turret).

ZIERIKZEE -1524
Gravensteen has served as a city prison for four hundred years. The wooden celt walls are carved with drawings bnd texts of the prisoners.

NIJMEGEN – 14th century
The valkhof, originally a castle, is located on a hill on the river Waal. The building on top of the 35 meter high hill are among the oldest in the Netherlands.

The St. John’s is known for its ornaments and some 600 statues of professions or animals of symbolic significance, such as monkey, bird of prey and monster.

One of the most famous circus theatres in the Netherlands, named after the first Director of the circus: Carré.

Anne Frank had to go in hiding during the Second World War, and wrote her world-famous diary from the “Achterhuis” in Amsterdam during this period.

This synagogue is still used as a place of worship. It was once the largest synagogue in the world.
25 – MUNTTOREN

Until the eighteenth century, many cities had their own mint house. This tower commemorates the mint house in Amsterdam.

In the Rijksmuseum you will find most of the famous Dutch works of art. The most famous painting is the “Nachwacht” by Rembrand van Rijn.

This church is a national icon on the Dam where official ceremonies take place, such as marriage and inauguration of King Willem-Alexander.
