One can see burial niches in the type of arcolosium on all the walls; in the east on the axis, three graves with a big niche and a flat roof attract attention. Large cycle of Christis dated to the end of 9th century or before Iconoclasm or to the 11th century according to some researchers. On an inscription on the east wall of the Church, it is mentioned that the Church is dedicated to Mary: “The Temple of Panagia Theotocos Spadiate and Tourmacos of Pates and Spathorokandidat was decorated by Christophoros”. The same dedication was repeated in the east wall on the epigraph of a grave: “The grave of Monk Petrus, Priest of the otokos Church”
