  • The Harim (the main indoor venue of the mosque where namaz and praying can be performed) part is substantially luminious by the daylight which comes from the windows surrounded all around. The wooden gate at the entrance is hand made and it was manufactured without using any nails, by the help of a special technique of interplacing and inlaying the wooden pannels into eachother.

    It was asked to be built by the Governor of Raqqah Ridvan Ahmet Pasha in 1736 A.D.(1149 according to Muslim Calendar). The entrance gate of Harim was built by using dual colored materials. The gate also remains to be one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman Kundekari Technique with its rich floral and geometrical lines and patterns. The madrasah in the mosque has U shape and it has served many years. There were educated and brought up many students and scholars at this madrasah.
